spring clean, a state of being
reign in the dark disorder of winter
cobwebs and dead skin
warmer days: frowns splinter
hot wash the sheets,
dust the tops of cabinets
cleansed and fresh, on repeat
brown for greens, nature swept
seek the snowdrops afore the daffodils
rising tide of colour and pride
peer out from your window sill
rain’s irregularity, snow subsides
find cheer among the drudgery
your smile behind the bleach
shoo out the spiders tidily
warm and pleasant place, reached.
