Since I keep making excuses, might as well tell you what’s so important that it takes all my blog time away from me.
Fact is, I’m working. I work as one of two in-house translators for an online games publisher with a catalogue of over 20 games (roughly). I have to translate at least half of all new content, more or less. So for 8 hours a day I’m turning Schwerte into swords and Dämonen into Demons. It’s really fun, given that the source material is really not something you’d find elsewhere.
When I’m not working, I’m out and about in this beautiful country that is Germany. Paperwork and taxes aside, this country is often, in my impression, without fault. Then, when I’m at home, all I have is a Playstation, and believe me, that is not developed with blogging in mind. I almost tried, but entering e v e r y s i n g l e letter is an absolute mind-numbing destruction of creativity. I will not be trying again.
I’m going to try plan in some blog time in my schedule, so that I can rejuvenate my writing skills a little, because, deary me, I’m taking on some Germanisms in my writing that need to be eradicated. You don’t want to know what I was about to write as a metaphor of that then. Well, you might be able to work it out; too controversial, concerning Germany. I am ashamed of myself.
So, here’s to hoping this schedule plan works (I’m using it to plan exercise too so don’t hold out too much, at least on THAT front). See you when the blog sees you champs.
